The mission of The Nashville Children’s Alliance is to reduce the traumatization of child abuse victims and their families by facilitating a comprehensive multidisciplinary team approach to detection, investigation, prosecution and treatment.

·    The multi-disciplinary team working on each abuse case consists of professional representatives from the Department of Children’s Services, the Metropolitan Police Department, the District Attorney’s Office and the Nashville Children’s Alliance. These significant entities are brought together at the Nashville Children’s Alliance.

·    In 2010, 1022 cases were managed through our Child Protective Investigative Team.

·    693 children were interviewed by our forensic interviewers and provided trauma focused therapy.

·    The NCA serves children, ages 3-17, providing therapeutic trauma-focused counseling to those who have been sexually abused, severely physically abused, traumatized by domestic violence, or witnessed a homicide.

·   In 2010, 121 children were served through 1249 therapy sessions.

·    NCA provides services to English and Spanish-speaking children and non-offending parents in a child-friendly, safe environment.

·    All of the services are provided at absolutely no cost to the families we serve.
